Qual a diferença entre weber ida e idf
-
_to quote from hpbooks weber carburetors by pat braden:
the prefix always indicates the size of the throttle plate i.e. 40 dcoe is a 40mm throttle plate. the letters immediately following the prefix refer, in italian, to the general type of carb. only a few terms are consistent: dc means doppio corpo, or double-throat. v means verticale (vertical) and o means orizzontale (horizontal). the i in ida seems to mean invertito, or inverted. yet, there are no updraft, or inverted, webers; the ida is a downdraft.
other even less-consistent single-letter designations are:
? e: die cast carb
? f: ford (of europe) or ferrari (?) application
? v: carb with power valve
? a: water-operated automatic choke
? g: progressive rate
weber carb nomenclature is chaotic. the ida may be 2-3 throats, and there is no choke at all. the e in dcoe indicates either a trapezoid bolt pattern (in some applications), or a rectangular pattern. the dcn fitted to the lamborghini was a dcnl, but if fitted to a ferrari, became a dcnf_

there are many smaller differances in the two carb styles. which is why one offers more flexability for tuning street only. but yes the idf does offer a choke / cold start device but that system does not offer a fast idle choke system. and no we do not offer a progressive system both sets have common cross bar linkage for smooth throttle action and funtion as single throttle opening at one time.
i was trying to keep things compact for your information and i seem to have made things more confusing.
i hope the pictures will help
im sending in two parts this one contains the idf 302 kit note the linkage is simple single pull interconnect so all linkage functions as 1.
note also that we remove the cold start device to clean up the look and mount blanking plates to cover this function. we can supply complete but find that it should not be needed for a well tuned set up.
my next e mail will supply the ida set up

parte dois do tópico, agora falando sobre os buras ida.
please note the pictures 302 ida examples i could not find the 302 but 351 id identical except for 1/2 inch wider spacing from bank to bank other wise the look and set up are exactly the same
i think you can see they have a little different look due to the size variation.
i hope this helps
with your choice and options
